[ARCHIVED] May Commissioner Meeting to be Completely Virtual

Laurinburg—Due to the continuing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the extension of the governor’s stay at home order the May meeting of the Scotland County Commissioners is going to be an exclusively virtual meeting using GotoMeeting.

Everyone is invited to view the commissioners meeting online or by conference call.  With the GotoMeeting platform the meeting is limited to 150 participants.  In order to join via a computer, tablet or smartphone follow the link: https://www.gotomeet.me/Scotlandcounty/scotland-bocc and in order to join to just listen to the audio the phone number is 872-240-3311 and use the code 376-128-365.  There will be no live stream for this month’s meeting as everyone is invited to participate via the GotoMeeting platform.

If anyone would like to offer public comment for the public forum the process will be the same as in April.  If you would like to offer public comment please send that comment to Jason Robinson, Clerk to the Board at jrobinson@scotlandcounty.org up until the meeting time on May 4th at 7:00 pm.  The comment will be read at the meeting and if sent in time will be placed in the agenda packet for the meeting.

As restrictions are eased in the coming weeks and months the commissioners hope to return to their normal format for their monthly meetings, any changes will be distributed to media outlets.
