CHARGES:

Scotland County EMS is a County-Operated and State-Licensed service provider. The cost of  approximately $1,537,677 (2007-2008)annual budget is divided between county-provided tax funds and fees billed to those persons utilizing the service. 

Effective July 01, 2007, The following fees apply:

    Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) Base Fee - $450 

     Loaded Patient Mileage - $8 / mile

    Waiting / Medical Standby Fee - $100 / Hour

    Transfer of Remains - $90 

    Disposable Supplies - No charge

 

ABOUT BILLING:

Scotland County EMS will file insurance claims with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies. Persons using the Emergency Medical Service are asked to provide any insurance information you have at the time of service, whenever possible. We DO accept assignment on many insurance policies.
