DESCRIPTION OF
WORK:
Enhanced nursing role performing
duties in the clinics, making home
visits and performing follow-up as
needed.
Position
works in the STD/Communicable
Disease clinics to screen and treat
patients following program
guidelines and standing orders.
Provides
patient education, counseling and
follow-up care as required.
This
position serves as the Lead
Immunization Nurse which includes
limited supervision of LPN working
through General Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation
from a four-year college or
university with a B.S. in Nursing
which includes a Public Health
Nursing rotation and one year of
Public Health Nursing experience; or
Master’s in Public Health and
graduation from a school of
professional nursing and one year of
professional nursing experience; or
graduation from a school of
professional nursing and two years
of professional nursing experience
including one year of Public Health
Nursing experience; or an equivalent
combination of training and
experience. Licensed to practice as
a Registered Nurse in
North Carolina
by the North Carolina Board of
Nursing.

DESCRIPTION OF
WORK:
This is an
entry level position working in a
variety of clinical areas, making
post partum home visits as needed
and assume responsibilities as
parenting instruction, and the
community promoting wellness and the
prevention of disease.
This
position provides staff support for
the Adult Health and Women’s Health
programs with their primary focus in
Maternal Health.
This
nurse will provide staff support to
the General Services and Sexually
Transmitted Disease (STD) programs
as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and
skills of nursing theory, practices,
principles, and techniques employed
in the field of public health and
related programs; general knowledge
and ability to apply the principles
and practices of public health;
working knowledge of current social

Ability
