Welcome to the Scotland County Register of Deeds website. The Register of Deeds office serves as custodian for various public records. It records deeds, deeds of trust, powers of attorney, plats and various other legal documents. The Register of Deeds office issues certified birth and death certificates, military discharges and marriage licenses.  The Register of Deeds is here to serve the public and maintain Scotland County's most important public records.  Any citizen who has questions is encouraged to contact the Register of Deeds office.

Vital Records Requirements:

To obtain a certified copy of a vital record by mail, please complete the application for Vital Record Form.  Return the signed application along with a certified check or money order for $10.00, a self addressed stamped envelope, and a copy of your valid driver's license or valid state ID card.
