Smile North Carolina Child Dental Program
Scotland County Department of Public Health will host “Smile North Carolina”, the Mobile Dentists, on Wednesday November 27th & Wednesday December 18th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The dental team will set up a mini-dental office in our building and provide dental services for all children ages 12 months to 18 years of age. Children can receive preventive dental care at NO COST, as Medicaid, CHIP, and most other insurances cover 100% of prevention treatment. However, for those children without dental coverage, charity care services are available. No proof of financial status is asked.
The Smile Programs have been providing services and creating healthy smiles for over 14 years. All dentists are state licensed and will conduct a complete dental exam. In addition, every child is given a ‘report card’ to take home. Dental referrals are provided by Smile North Carolina if additional dental work is needed.
For more information or questions about the preventive child dental health program, please contact Morgan Richardson, WIC Program Director at Scotland County Department of Public Health, 910-277-2470, Ext. 4458.
