Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Scotland County employees have access to a confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through First Health of the Carolinas. The program offers counseling and referral services for stress, grief, family matters, addiction, financial concerns, and more. EAP services are free and available to employees and their immediate family members.

Mental Health & Telehealth Services

In addition to EAP, employees have access to mental health resources through their health insurance plan and Teladoc Telehealth Services. Services include therapy, acute care, behavioral health consultations, and 24/7 on-demand care.

Flexible Work Arrangements

Depending on department needs, employees may be eligible for alternative work schedules such as compressed workweeks, adjusted start/end times, or hybrid remote options. All flexible schedules require supervisor approval and must align with operational demands.

Wellness Initiatives

Scotland County promotes employee well-being through periodic wellness events, flu shot clinics, walking challenges, and preventive health screenings. These initiatives are designed to encourage healthy lifestyles and support a balanced work-life culture.
